From my earliest years I have always loved to paint. Whether it was painting houses or painting pictures..... it didn't matter. I loved to paint!
My husband, Bud, and I raised our nine kids in Cottonwood, Idaho for 28 years.
Over the years, I have taken classes in watercolor, pastels, oils and acrylics. It is a never ending learning experience but so rewarding! In the Lewis-Clark Valley, I have taught painting classes at Valley Art Center and Brockman's - a local art store. I have also taught art classes in many of the communities and galleries in the surrounding area. Presently, I am teaching a course in oil painting at Dahman Barn (an art gallery in Uniontown, Washington commonly known as "The Barn") on Fridays throughout the month of March. I also display my original art work at "The Barn", as well as at Valley Art Center.
Currently, I am on the board of directors of Valley Art Center, a member of the Idaho Watercolor Society, a board member of the Snake River Showcase and a member of "Bridging the Arts".
Throughout the years, my art has been very rewarding for me in so many ways. I have received numerous Blue Ribbons for my artwork at local art shows, as well as receiving the "Grumbacher Excellence In Art" medal. However, for me, perhaps the greatest reward has been hearing the appreciation and satisfaction expressed by my clients and in knowing that my art has touched their lives in such a positive way.
I feel God has blessed me with this talent and has given me the time and opportunity to use it..... so I try not to waste it.
We loved hunting, fishing and camping in the wilds of Idaho. Many of the wildlife I paint were photographed by myself or members of my family.
We later moved to Lewiston, Idaho and then to Sweetwater where we bought a ranch and cattle. After the loss of my husband, I moved back to Lewiston and became a full-time artist.
